Official Plan Update

The Official Plan is a policy document that determines how to manage land and resources to ensure a healthy and vibrant community. The Township of Wainfleet Official Plan is currently being updated.

Wainfleet Boil Water Advisory

The boil water advisory issued on April 10th, 2006 remains in effect.  The initial advisory was issued after extensive consultation with a panel of experts and receiving advice from the Chief Medical Officer of Health of Ontario.

Water & Wastewater Project

Municipal water and sewer services do not exist in the Township of Wainfleet. Studies conducted by the Regional Public Health and Region Public Works Departments, as well as by the Ministry of the Environment concluded that failing septic systems along the lakeshore area of Wainfleet are contaminating the groundwater and negatively impacting Lake Erie.

Water & Wastewater Project Public Liaison Committee

The Public Liaison Committee provides community-wide exchange, communication and collaboration over and above the public information process that is part of the Wainfleet Servicing Project.
